A feast of fowlLately, these two have been indulging my desire for the good life by providing some great dinners with wild games. They have been busy with hunting, harvesting their garden and canning . If the apocalypse comes, I think I know where I will be heading to. About a month ago, when John Choi came to town, we were all invited over for a dinner of fowl. Geese hunting season was open and so Erik came back with lots and lots of geese . Dove season also opened so he cam e back with lots of doves.

Erik had mentioned of his favorite Dove recipes ( dove and jalapenos wrapped in bacon and grilled). The dove oysters were especially good.

The finished grilled dove appertizer

The goose breasts were pan fried and served au jus. Geese taste somewhere between duck and roast beef and the breast meat were lean and dark. So much food and so much goodness

A nice salad from the garden to compliment the meal
